Accessable to everyone

We value accessibility and inclusion highly at Organ Balance Practice. I have worked with different types of disabled clients for many years and therefore optimized my treatment routine for clients with visual impairment, hearing impairment and/ or physical limitations. Below is a brief overview how I have made Organ Balance Practice better accessible for all my clients.

Visual Impairment

The website has been optimized for clients with a visual impairment, so that all information on my website can be accessed easily. You can be picked up and dropped off at the train station ‘De Vink’, it’s a 3-minute walk from the train station to the practice. It is also possible to be picked up at one of the bus stations near the practice. Would you rather travel per car? It is also possible there is free parking available in the street. If you wish, your driver can wait in the living area at the ground floor while you receive your treatment. There is also a nice park and mall close to the practice should your driver prefer to go for a walk. The Acupuncture and Shiatsu therapy practice is located in the suburbs of Leiden, on the second floor from my home in a separate area. I will guide you to the practice area upon arrival and explain briefly the practice layout and restroom location. In the practice area you can take a seat for the intake and laydown on a massage table for the treatment.

Hearing Impairment

I have 10 years of work experience with hearing impaired people and obtained certificates to communicate with sign language. Both NMG (Dutch with Signs) and NGT (Dutch Sign Language) are among the communication options. Prior to the treatment or afterwards, consultations can be made via video calling or Whatsapp. During the intake and treatment you can of course communicate with sign language too.

Mobility restriction

Unfortunately, it is not (yet) possible to install an elevator and therefore the practice isn’t accessible for clients who are wheelchair dependent.
